Alright! So let's begin with the interview, hello and welcome Maplewood NJ I'm Michael Penders your favorite hoster! And this is the Music section, where we make our local artist shine brighter than ever! Today I'd love to introduce to you the new local superstar, Andrew Moon, 24 year old daughter of the beloved Harper and Jhon Moon from the best restaurant in the town "CreamyDoll"! But she also goes by the name of: lowercases!
Thanks, Michael! I'm really excited to be here. It's been an incredible journey so far, and I'm so grateful for all the support I've received from my hometown, especially my parents, Harper and Jhon. CreamyDoll has always been such a special place to me, and I think a lot of my creativity stems from growing up around all the vibrant energy of the restaurant.
Michael: "That's amazing! So, tell us about your music. The name 'lowercases' is really unique—what’s the story behind that?"
Andrew (lowercases): "Yeah, so 'lowercases' is all about embracing imperfections and subtlety. I’ve always felt like the quiet moments, the small details, hold the most meaning. Lowercase letters aren't flashy, but they carry so much weight, and that’s the kind of energy I want my music to bring—understated, but emotionally powerful."
Michael: "I love that! How would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?"
Andrew (lowercases): "I’d say it’s a mix of indie folk and lo-fi electronica. There’s a softness and intimacy to it, but I also love playing with synths and ambient textures to create something dreamlike. My goal is to make music that feels like a safe space—where people can escape, reflect, and feel seen."
Michael: "Sounds like something the world needs right now! Do you have any upcoming projects we should be looking out for?"
Andrew (lowercases): "Yes! I’m actually working on my first full-length album. It’s called Soft Echoes, and it’s all about finding beauty in vulnerability and the quieter aspects of life. I’m really excited for people to hear it—it’s been a deeply personal project."
Michael: "That sounds incredible! Well, we’re looking forward to hearing more from you. Thank you so much for joining us, Andrew, or should I say, lowercases! Any final words for the people of Maplewood?"
Andrew (lowercases): "Just a huge thank you for all the love and support! Maplewood will always be home, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with everyone."
